BUHARI'S HEALTH: APC WOMENFOLK SET TO SEEK DIVINE INTERVENTION

In Nigeria, on the heel of rumours being peddled on the health of President Muhammad Buhari, a national prayer summit  has been fixed by the womenfolk  of the ruling All Progressives' Congress (APC) for the president and the nation.

The prayer summit, which is being organised by the office of the APC Deputy National Women Leader, is billed to hold in Enugu with the entire southern region and the womenfolk in attendance.

Chief Mrs. Tina Ekwueme-Atike,  the APC Deputy National Women Leader, who disclosed this to newsmen in Owerri, stressed that the non-denominational summit, which cuts across all political parties, was specifically meant to appease God to re-enact those  values which Africans and Nigerians, in particular are noted for, especially in respect of human value.

Condemning what she called the unwarranted and unnecessary wishes
being propagated in the social media on the health of the president, the APC national women leader reiterated that death is not restricted to any particular age group and that it is a natural phenomenon that concerns the young and the old adding that those speculating on the death of a person going about his or her business with his or her family were seeking to be befallen by the law of nature.

It would be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari had proceeded on a ten-day vacation which took effect on 23rd January 2017. At the expiration of the ten-day period when the president was supposed to resume, another letter was transmitted to the  Nigerian Senate seeking an indefinite extension of the president's vacation. This development further heightened the tension about the health of the president among Nigerians which had already been building up since he started the ten-day foundation.
